  1. How have you engaged, excited and motivated your clients to invest in their employees' health? (300 words)

The two major adversaries in Corporate Wellness are:

  1. The Corporate Employer, who insures his employees against medical eventualities, but who nevertheless prefers a healthy productive work force, in order to maximize profits
  2. The Health Insurance Provider, who is happy to ensure a large corporate client, but requires that the employees remain healthy in order to minimize medical utilization and events, so that expenditure is within the premium allocation.

          - With medical costs being covered, the employee is indifferent to keeping healthy and as a consequence absenteeism and presenteeism increase, and productivity & profits drop.

          - Consequently medicare utilization & hospitalization increases, medical costs & premiums escalate and insurance become unsustainable resulting in annual premium increases.

In order to engage, motivate & excite our clients to reduce medicare costs (to the benefit of insurers) and to improve employee healthy and productivity (to the benefit if employers); along with RAK Insurance, Arabian Wellness introduced Wellness into all Health Insurance plans. All employers who took health insurance automatically got employee wellness packages as part of the corporate health insurance plans.

30(a) - Health & Wellness Insurance for White Collar Employees

30(b) - Health & Wellness Insurance for Blue Collar Employees

The benefit to employers is a full-fledged scheme (medical screening, health education, year round health activities) resulting in a healthier and more productive work force. The benefit of insurer is a year round corporate wellness program in the corporate that keeps employees healthy and reduces medicare utilization & medicare costs. In addition, it ensures that corporate renews the health insurance due to consequent reduced annual premiums. Corporates that are currently covered by such a scheme include:

  • - Stevin Rock – 3000 employees
  • - Saqr Port – 1000 employees
  • - Hilton Hotels – 500 employees
  • - American University – 250 employees
  1. Please give client testimonials (200 words)

Within one year of our incorporation, we were selected as a Finalist in the Daman Corporate Wellness Awards, 2014:

  1. 31(a) – Wellness Team of the Year (Finalist, 2014): In January, 2017, we were awarded by Dubai Authorities for being the winner of the Distinguished Corporate Fitness Initiative 2017. Details
  2. 31(b) – Corporate Fitness Initiative (Winner, 2017): Details
  3. Attached are the Individual Testimonials from few of our clients:
  1. Please give examples of competitive advantage and innovation (200 words)

-->The advantage we have over most of our competitors is that we are perhaps the only Comprehensive Corporate Wellness Company in the UAE. For the corporate client we are a one stop multi-disciplinary team of Physicians, Nurse, Dietitian, Psychologist, Physiotherapist and Lifestyle Counselors who can deliver to the client all their needs of:

  • - Health Screening
  • - Health Education
  • - Health Activities

This delights the client with not having to resort to multiple vendors.

          32(a) - Multidisciplinary Team

As regards innovation, the first step in Corporate Wellness is employee screening. Traditionally, this is done by medical clinics within the premises of the corporate facility and it gives the employee an instant print out of Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar, BMI, etc. We innovated and decided to add lifestyle screening into the diagnostic screening and simultaneously deliver a lifestyle report with information on Diet, Exercise, Stress, Smoking, along with counseling.

          32(b1) - 25 Parameters Questionnaire

To the best of our knowledge, no other corporate wellness company is able to provide an integrated biomedical and lifestyle screening prescription.

          32(b2) - 25 Parameters Sample Prescription
