Weight Loss Methods:

  • The carbs to avoid are the carbs in processed foods, not the carbs in Natural foods.
  • Eat vegetables freely.
  • Eat the foods you like in moderation to avoid splurging.
  • Insufficient sleep increase hunger pangs.
  • Maintain a weight loss dairy of weekly weight taken & weekly diet plans

 

Exercise

Walking for Wellness,

  • It is a program that encourages people of all ages & genders to walk every day in order to complete errands, get to the office, visit neighbours, stroll in the mall, get to the train or bus, or cab, walk in office, walk in groups, walk with the family.
  • No special equipment is required except a good pair of shoes & a sense of safety towards traffic & surroundings.

 

Stress Management

Stress Busting:

  • Laugh out loud.
  • Adopt a pet.
  • Keep a tidy home.
  • Nurture plants.
  • Sing a song.
  • Listen to music.
  • Take a walk.
  • Do some exercise every day.
  • Have a good night sleep.
  • Spend time with good friends.

 

Avoid Addictions

Dependencies & Dementia:

  • By the age of 60, most adults have concerns about memory loss, however, minor memory lapses are a part of ageing & correspond with normal changes in the brain & are not indications of Dementia & Alzheimer’s which represent an almost complete mental & physical breakdown.
  • Three major factors amongst others that contribute to Alzheimer’s & Dementia, are   smoking, alcohol & narcotics.
  • If you are smoking, quit.
  • Heavy drinker (more than 2 drinks of alcohol daily) often suffers amnesia & memory loss which could be permanent.

Immunity & Brain Function:

  • Regular exercise appears to help jump-start the immune system thus helping to reduce the number of colds, flu, and other viruses.
  • Exercise boosts blood flow to the brain and helps it receive oxygen and nutrients.
